A third area of interest for my photography is beauty and glamour portraiture. I often get asked by prospective models and actresses as well as dancers to take portrait photographs of them. I enjoy working with these models and clients, and I try to develop a very special look to their photographs. They are usually interested in photographs for their composite or portfolio, for a dance program, or perhaps for hanging in their home or office or to give to a "significant other". What I try to capture is more than a straight representation, but rather to create a striking image that will both flatter the subject as well as provide a beautiful image. Now, with digital capture and PhotoshopŠ the creative possibilities are almost endless. Below are a few examples of my beauty and glamour photography.

I photographed Debbie for a number of years, both in my workshops and for her portfolio. She was a very active model in the Washington DC area, but now is a mother and real estate agent. She looks almost as good now as she did as a teenager.

Hannah is a young up-and-coming model. She takes direction well and has boundless energy. I liked the effect of the back lighting on her hair.

Brittany is another young model that is very photogenic. She has a sweetness that comes though in the photographs.

Ann is currently a college student but is also interested in modeling. She has wonderful expressions that can really make a photograph.

Katie is a friend that wanted to give modeling a try. As you can see she does very well.

Breanna is a very experienced young model. Her beautiful face and great ability for expression makes for a happy photographer.

Mia is a very attractive model with beautiful eyes. The fur around her face frames it and concentrates the viewers interest on just her face.

Ursula is a model who was interested in building up a portfolio. She should go far in the field. This is also an example of my makeup skills, since I did her complete makeup. I also did the makeup for a number of other examples above.

Jade is a model with an outstanding face. Almost every photograph of her is exceptional. However, she did have a few blemishes that required some work in PhotoshopŠ. The results are worth it, though. I think she looks like an angel in this photograph... however, I really do not know her personality, and whether she is an angel! The use of PhotoshopŠ techniques to provide the high key effect works well for her.

Becca is a beautiful young model with a lot of style. You see her again in the fashion Section. I used several PhotoshopŠ techniques on this portrait of her to emphasize her facial features and to make her image look almost like an etching. I like the effect, and hope you do also.
